FALLing for FALL

Although some people say that fall is their favorite time of year, I've never been able to get past the fact that the temperature change means winter is coming...oh, dreaded winter. That's all I've been able to focus on until this year.  I also love being married and being able to appreciate this time of year with my love instead of focusing on which guy is catching my eye and how I can catch the guys eye that's catching my eye. and so on. and so on. Now that I don't have to worry about falling for a new guy, I can focus on falling for fall! And boy, have I fallen hard this year! (although, I still REALLY hate the bi-polar weather.  Just make up your mind if you're going to be cold or warm already!! I can't handle wearing my jacket and then taking it off and then putting it back on and then taking it off and then......yeah. I hate it.)

This month so far we've gone to Cornbelly's (where we played their little Halloween games, got lost in the corn maze, had good chats by the campfire, and....froze our butts off!!), we went to a pumpkin patch that had a spook alley with my nieces and nephews, and then we went to a real haunted house! It's been great so far! But I really can't wait for Halloween and Thanksgiving so we can finish off the fall season with a bang!

Not sure who won the race...I'm gonna go with Steve ;)

We love our chick pics!

The kids loved the spook alley.  Our neighbors did such a good job on decorating their garden to be spooky for kids.  We also had fun jumping out and scaring each other to make it a little spookier.  I think the best was when Steve thought Spencer was coming through the sheet and went to scare him only to find my cute dad jump instead. Haha too funny.

(Steve hates clowns.  It took all his manpower just to take this picture.)

We went to The Fear Factory downtown and I think this is the best haunted house I've been too.  Just the factory itself is creepy enough and when you add all the people jumping out at you it makes for a good haunted time!

Good thing you can't see the dark pee spot on my jeans from being so terrified. (Kidding!!! I only did that in elementary school......with a boy I had a crush on......and that boy commented in the haunted house that something wet rubbed against his leg when we were running from the chainsaw guy.....and then I had to walk around the fun dome with a big ol noticeable wet spot on my pants the rest of the daaaaaaayyyyy......nbd.....not embarrassing. at. all.)

happy heart, sore feet

Who has two thumbs and got to live in a dress and high heels ALL weekend?  THIS GIRL! Although I wanted to burn my new high heels after the weekend was over, my full happy heart refrained from doing so (and the shoes were pretty adorable so they pretty much saved themselves). I was fortunate enough to witness a lot of covenants being made and it made me so happy!  One of my best friends got married and sealed in the temple, my cute niece got baptized, and my bro-in-law blessed the sacrament for the first time. I'm so happy I got to be apart of it all and had a fabulous time!

Since I'm blogging now, I've been trying to take more pictures but poor Steve and I aren't the most photogenic people so we end up having to take 600 for 1 good one.  Steve sure has been a good sport though!  Here's a look through my camera this weekend...

The photo booth provided hours of entertainment...so much so that we accidentally missed the bride and groom leaving :( woops!

Congrats to Mr.and Mrs. Rose!

And congrats to this cute girl...little Ms. Audrie

imagine dragons and bachelorette party hangover

Well...I've got the Tuesday blues that carried over from yesterays Monday blues and to make it worse, I'm still suffering from a "hangover" from my "ca-ray-zay" weekend (not really that crazy but I can be dramatic right?).  I was at an ultimate high this weekend with so many fun things going on!  First things first, I must mention the most exciting news of the weekend...we gave birth to two new babies!!  It was a looooong 7 months of anticipation for our WASHER & DRYER to finally be installed! (not REAL babies btw...haha). Wahoo! I've never been so excited to do laundry before in my life.  It is amazing to finally do our laundry in our own home.  A big thanks to my talented bro-in-law who has helped us finally complete our home remodel!

Luckily, I came down from my "laundry high" just in time to go to the Imagine Dragons concert with Chase and Nakita! For Freeeeezeeee!  It was absolutely amazing.  The band was so down to earth and awesome live!  I love them even more than I did before! Not only did we get free admission but we also got a free meal AND during one of their songs they dropped a bunch of balloons with money inside them and Steve collected $12 buckaroos!  It. was. a. great. night.

(waiting for the band and a little too excited about the free chicken fingers)

On Saturday I had Star's bachelorette party where we got manis/pedis, ate dinner, and chatted the night away. I sure love being with these gals.  They are such great friends and always make me laugh waaaaay tooooo haaaaard. I'm so excited for the future Mrs. Star Rose!

(coolest name out there! Not many people can draw their full name...so cool)

(We got a full moon that night. haha)

Yay Starlene!  Only a few more days until she ties the knot.  Can't wait!
