Yikes

Well, It's been a while and I guess I've just been having way too much fun to blog! Or...it was the end of the school year so my job has been keeping me too busy to blog! Oh, and we bought a new house that we remodeled and moved in to so...that's something.

I'm just going to do a picture dump of the last couple of months so...here goes!!!

Hoppy Easter from this cute guy! I just love this pic.
We celebrated my Papa's 80th birthday in April and it was so much fun.  It was such a fun day to celebrate such an amazing man who we all love so much!

All the great grand kids singing the cutest song written by my amazing sis! Go Michelle!

I sure love this fun-boogy-boarding-80-year-old-fart of mine! ;)

Our next adventure was staying with the Miller's while we were remodeling the basement of our new casa.  Splitting a family home into two units is never easy, but thanks to my amazing bro-in-law and my now super handy husband it all came together and we're finally moved in!   It's nice to finally feel settled again, but it was sure great to live with Steve's parents.  What awesome in-laws I have!  Benj had the time of his life following Deb around and playing with Oliver every day while we were at work.  He and Molly are finally content with each other. (Molly is still a little grouchy when Benj tries to play with her, but for the most part they really bonded during our stay).

Our new, cute lil house! We're excited to call this home for a bit...until our next home adventure!

 Poor little Rat Dog.

We also went to the cabin over Memorial Day Weekend.  Steve and I took the tandem bike out and had Benj and Molly run with us.  Benj did a good job of keeping up, but poor chunky Molly is the little speck in the background and Ryan had to come pick her up on the four wheeler.  I've never seen her more happy than the moment she drove past us on the four wheeler with Ryan. haha

I guess our move and living with Molly exhausted The Bunj because he hasn't stopped sleeping for the last week! He just partied waaaay too hard.

Both men in my family don't approve of me watching The Bachelorette...maybe one day I'll persuade them in  to loving it as much as I do!

One of my close high school friends, Markay, got married up in Park City at the end of May.  It was probably one of my favorite weddings.  The ceremony was in the middle of Park City ski resort and was seriously stunning.   You really can't get a better backdrop then those beautiful mountains! And not to mention the weather was warm but overcast and honestly perfect.  Oh, and did I mention all the guests took the Alpine Slide down the mountain to the reception after?! And did I mention I was giggling by myself the entire way down thinking how ridiculous I looked in my skirt and heals on that sled?  Oh, and did I mention I decided to let go of my skirt so I could enjoy the ride, even though I was flashing everyone?
Yeah, that was fun.

Such an amazing wedding! Congrats Markee and Chris!! So happy for them!

I'm sure loving life lately.  And I can't wait until I get off in two weeks for my summer break and get to have 5 weeks to do whatever the heck I want!!! BRING IT ON SUMMER 2014!

sista sista

If there's anything I love leaving work early for it's to spend time with my favorite gals!  It was my sister Michelle's birthday last week so of course the girls in my family all had to celebrate.  My mom and sisters have made it a tradition to go to Cafe Trelis and to the Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point every year and this is the first year that I could finally join them!  I skipped work early for a "mental health day" and boy was it worth it.  I'd never been to Cafe Trelis before and now I can't wait to go back!  There club sandwich and sweet potato fries are seriously to die for (oh no, I'm sounding just like my mom who over uses that line. But I really mean it when I say it about that blessed sandwich!).  After lunch we rented a golf cart and drove all around the gardens getting our "model" on taking pictures at every stop.  We were being seriously goofy and acting like children but we didn't care what anyone thought.  It was great. Really, really great.

Sister #1, #2, and #3 (not sure why we decided to put our fingers up like that...)

My mama was loving the tulips and had to get a close up...I think this is the only picture we got where we were actually cooperating instead of acting like children

Of course we had to end the day with Lindy rolling down the hill like a child....haha

Spring Breakyyy

I had such a grrreat spring break!!  I had an entire week off of work and did all of the following:

  • Played in St. George and Vegas with the B-hams where we went hiking, searched some underground caves (where I hit my head on sharp rocks a thousand times), went hot tubing, went shooting and shot my first shot gun (I also made the realization that I hate guns.  They are far too powerful for my tiny body to handle...I think Steve was a little disappointed in his wussy wife.), walked the Vegas strip, shopped, and of course, we ended the trip going swimming at Mandalay Bay's beach resort which we should have been doing the entire trip!  The wave pool and lazy river made a perfect ending to a fun weekend getaway!
  • Hung out with my mom and sisters during the week and got a little jealous of their stay-at-home-mom lifestyle.
  • Did laundry and cleaned my house of course...
  • Did yard work in the beeeeuuuuaaatiful sunshine!  I LOVE this time of year!
  • Hung out with my most favoritist doggy Benj.  He was lovin havin his mama home all week!
  • I hosted a shower for my friend, Jess, who's having a baby boy next month. It was so fun to reunite with my high school peeps.
  • We ended the wonderful week at the cabin in Bear Lake with the Miller clan.  It was pretty good weather and so fun to just hang out up there.  Oliver is at such a cute age and is so fun to play with!
