We had the best time last weekend with my nieces and nephews! I was missing my little chillins one day and decided we needed to have a play date. I also was going through a creativity withdrawal and wanted to go all out. We planned two separate parties; Tea Time with Kayley for the girls and Adventure Time with Steve for the boys (minus poor little Parkito who was a little too young to join).
The cute girls and I had a busy night having "tea" (chocolate milk) and "crumpets" (sandwiches) while speaking in British accents. Alexa coined the phrase "This is so faboo" and it quickly became the motto for our night. (Cute Carley got the giggles during tea time when she said "This is so fatboo" emphasise on the T. This made her burst out in laughter for a solid 5 minutes (like mother like daughter!). They were SO cute and we had a blast doing all girlie girl stuff (makeup, decorating cupcakes, and coloring tea cups). Of course while I was teaching the nieces to be ALL GIRL, like myself, Steve was teaching the boys all things manly on their adventure time. They hiked up Bell Canyon and found a treasure chest full of old money and a letter from a mysterious man named J Johnson who had to "hide his money because he was getting chased by Indians" (all Steve's idea...haha what a clever husband I have). They also threw rocks into the lake and had a man picnic while keeping a close eye out for the Indians they thought were watching them. Don't worry though, Spencer told Steve in secret that he knew "Indians didn't exist anymore" ;). They came back from their "Adventure Time with Steve" with LOTS to talk about. We were worried how Bubba would do on the hike but Steve said he quickly figured out that he could grab Steve's hands to be swung up over the big rocks. Needless to say, Bubba had a great time and Steve got a great workout lifting 50 lbs of solid Bubba!
